Swiss Cottage Secondary School Today.... (Edited)
After reading BlueStar's comment, I decided to make things clearer.... Abt the Principal part...
Sharon, Jun Hong and I went to Swiss early this morning (0930). As usual, our Mr. Lu and Ms. Low were late. However, Mr. Lu made the effort to be early by taking a cab. haha.. We met at the back-gate's bus-stop but the back-gate is closed.. So we had to walk all the way to the main entrance and the stupid security guard did not allow us to go in cuz he said tt the school is closed on sat(although there are still ppl gg to Swiss for CCA). Luckily, Jason Lim (Sec 3 teacher but he rather we call him by name as we have graduated) came out and brought us into the school.. Sad man.. With all the security and stuffs, school suddenly feels so "corporated".
Anyway, we basically went there to meet Jason Lim cuz Sharon wants to get him to appraise her for her NTU Scholarship (and she don't wanna go alone.. then asked us along.. sigh.. gals...). Anyway, took the chance to go back n get back some memories. In truth, it was really SOME memories. Sigh.. The school changed so much. I lost my bearing soon when I was inside (Jason took the liberty of bringing us ard). I could barely feel anything to the school itself. Even most of the teachers have changed. Only few remained. Eg Constance Wong, Susan Lim, Lee Jee Pang (ham-jee-peng), Arthur Ngoh and a FEW more.
Then we got the chance to speak to the current principal cuz Jason felt tt getting her to appraise Sharon is better (and I agree). I am very impressed by her. The way she speaks, the way she tries to make us feel proud to be a part of Swiss (and indeed we are), the way she brings herself.. Wow.. It's like she just knows what she wants and plans very well how to get there. According to Jason, she is leading the school really well. Wow.. She's so cool man.. I tink I'm kinda attracted to such kinda gals..(Bluestar, attracted is one thing, like is another and love is yet another thing.. haha.. this is wat I feel lah) However, Sharon and Jun Hong thinks tt with such gals, one wld probably treat her like a mother and look up to her.. haha.. In a way, quite true ba.. wahaha... I suppose wat I feel is a form of deep respect for this kinda of ladies ba.. I simply feel that ladies (men too but ladies are more significant, i tink) who know exactly where they want to be and how to get there are very respectable and draws me to admire them.. But this isn't the kind of women u wld want to hold hands with.. To admire is not to love..
We also talked abt teachers. Man.. They have to do loads of stuffs man. It's no longer like the past whereby they just come to school and teach. Their job-scope now includes so many things other than students.
Anyway, from wat happened today, I feel that places and things change over time. As time passes, you may feel distanced from a certain place. However, it is the ppl that can keep things the same for you. In most cases, they wld try to welcome you back to the place. Just like wat the principle did. She cld jolly well carry on with her job and don't care abt us when we were there but she took the time off her work time to talk to us. Jason oso took time to talk to us and stuffs (1 whole morning). He has to be in charged off an event in the afternoon but he still took his time and speak with us.
Lesson learnt: It is such small gestures that make ppl feel welcomed, i feel. As my Mom wld say, ppl must "hui zhuo ren".
