Non-Air-Conditioned Bus On A Cold & Stormy MorningWell.. I think I have some minor time-managment problem with waking up and buses. I targetted to reach school at 830 to print my notes but I reached at 0800 hrs. Hmmm... Anywayz, I realised that the non-air-conditioned bus on a rainy morning is so conducive for sleep.
Hmm.. Looking at Uni life after 2 weeks... It is a great avenue to meet more ppl but probably only get to know hi-bye and crapping kinda friends. Will you tell your secrets to these ppl, I wonder.... Anyhow, it is still fun despite the stupid loads of readings.
The priorities are clear. What comes first must be pushed for. Whatever that comes later can be taken 1 step at a time.

USP D&DIt ended on 26 Aug @ 1100 hrs. It was quite a fun night with laughs from the crowd and on-the-ball profs. Saw a funny sights with regard to the kind of cstume ppl wear. There was a Joker, Capt Jack Sparrow, Felix the Cat, Minnie Mouse, the lead from Shaman King, 2 mad scientists, 2 Ash from Pokemon and 3 Superman's!! The night was made perfect with a few moments of talk.
Anywayz, after this major arrow, I just didn't feel like trying to run for comm member and in return get many many arrows. In short, I'm going to be a bookworm wanna-be!
On a separate note, while having dinner earlier on, my mother said, "You better go n read the papers today." I asked her for the reason and she said, "There's this article about a JC girl who slept with her boyfriend and got aids. So you better be careful. If you want casual sex, wear a condom."
I was considerably stunned by the comment while at the same time, "fighting" to crack the shell of the crab on my plate. My thoughts were, "Hello.. Does your son here look like one who goes around havin casual sex? I'm sooo disappointed." Obviously, I didn't reply as I was having my crab.
Finally, I shall come to this phrase of "paid extrovert" used by Gurmit Singh during his interview with Straits Times. I see myself to be sth along this line. Probably a "circumstantial extrovert"? I am as quiet as I can be while at home. Leave me to be and you'll probably find me spending time reading, watching tv or listening to the radio. When I speak at home, I speak in such a low voice that my sis always makes a fuse about me mumbling. Outside of the house, I am still an introvert but at times (coupled with a certain mood), I become slightly extrovert.
That's all..
By the way, I think I have chosen the most boring module in the whole USP basket. Even Making A Nation is so much more interesting!!!

Superman FanWent on a little hunt for superman tee shirt yesterday. Have you ever noticed tt things are everywhere when you are not looking for it but when you do, there is almost nowhere they can be found? i.e. Cabs...
Anywayz, I went to Bang kit, Bugis Village and The Icon but couldn't find it. I ended up returning to the "a little bit ex" DC shop in Bugis Junction to buy it. I ended up with 2 Superman tee of the same design but different colours because the shop was having a 2 for the price of 1 offer and the other designs that were available just sucked.
I spent such a long time choosing for the tee that apparently the auntie thought that I was some big superman fan that she gave me a set of the stickers... hmmm...
On a separate note, I went for the interview for venture kampuchea. Basically, a volunteer expedition run by USP students. I didn't put in a lot of effort into the prep for D&D and also cuz I am keen but not to the extent of being absolutely keen..

Readings, Readings & More ReadingsIt was a big big mistake to take 3 USP modules in a single semester. The readings just pile up at the speed of light. However, I had not much of a choice as I only have 2 core modules this Semester. Plus, why should I waste time doing SARTOR Modules outside of USP when I can map them? Thankfully, because of my failure to bid for my critical writing module, I have less readings for this Sem.
Anywayz, I joined Rovers club (basically like ODAC.. just that we do trekking, cycling and diving during the sem breaks...). I still thinking of whether to run for some sub-comm posts in USC... hmmmm...

3 Days Into SchoolHaha.. I should have heeded Bao Lai's advice about keeping your lectures spaced out. I have been in mad rushes for lectures in the mornings. 1st 3 days are so hectic.
Day 1 - School started in the morning with MLE lecture where I spent half the lecture time deciphering the lecturer's words. After which, I had to rushed all the way to Blk ADM for SS: Making A Nation - which essentially posed us with millions of question like modernism vs post-modernism. Had a lunch break (luckily I managed to find some ppl to eat with me.. haha). Then I went for Foundation of Engineering. Met Sharon for a while...
Day 2 - Math Lect was crap with the textbook sale and introduction. Had Chemical and Us after that. The lecturer is interesting but the notes are confusing. Spent the rest of the day going around NUS to get notes, textbooks and reading materials. I felt like quitting usp when I saw the amount of reading materials for Making a Nation. Haha.. Met Hiang Kiat and another guy while I was at the library. After which, met Pub comm to search for costumes. We ended up renting a Peter Pan costumes for Murali and a Flinstone one for Gao Ting.
Day 3 - MLE lect was still so confusing. Need a good mix of chemistry and physics for it. Did some comm stuffs and finally went home at 3 pm. Met Zhong Wei and Liang Wei (Finally! despite being in the same fac) on my way to the bus stop. And met Eunice at the bus-stop. Haha.. Frankly, I had no recollection about how I got to know her in JC but I remembered her name.

End Of O-WeekHmm... A quick look at events over o-week.
1. It is a good dieting plan to join o-week activities as you are treated to buffet lunch, which essentially entails that you take a small portion of food as your lunch. After which, you'll be involved in whatever activities and by the time it ends, it'll be almost time for dinner.
2. Got to know many pplz. Hope that our contact lines will remain even after school starts.
3. 4 in 5 ppl whom I met asked me, "Are you a foreigner?"
4. I am an introvert and am shy by nature but I suppose I have be a little bit more on the extrovert side over the past week. I suppose I understand that if I stay shy,I will probably not get to know anybody else. However, the fact does not change.
5. I still can't believe that there are still gals at my age who do not know the meaning of orgasm.
6. O-week has ended. Time to start the engines.

Talking Too MuchI can't believe that someone can get sick of speaking altogether. Haha.. I am now.. Having to carry the poster and go around publicising the event is very tiring. I grew sick of talking after the whole thing ended. I just don't feel like speaking anymore...

WeekendHmm.. I went for Siew Jun's b-day party on Sunday evening. Cedric & I got Siew Jun a condom-kitted boxer that will tide him over a weekend of about 7 well-planned sex.
Left about an hour after reaching to meet up with Sharon and Gang at New York New York in City Link. The verdict is that the food ain't very nice. Joked around and stuffs. A tired and apparently skinnier me (according to Qin Yi and I feel is because of the stress from module bidding) stumbled into the DL-craze.
On Monday, where else can I go but back to NUS for USP talk again. After that, had a meeting for D&D publicity and we made our way down to Bras Basah to get our posters printed. Finally, made it to Downtown East for Luna BBQ.
Ultimately, I still want to curse the stupid admin of NUS for taking such a bloody long time to process my appeal to drop the stupid mod which they allocated to me by mistake. Bloody asses. To think they have the cheek to ask me to check my email when I called...
Then I wonder... Can I keep up? It is time to test the limits....

A Day Full Of Curses And Swears 1. I had to plan till 1 am in the morning to come up with the winning combination for my time-table and I got a "4-day" week. I was muttering some curse words at this pt in time.
2. I spent another 1 hr planning my bid and decided to dump the pathetic 250 pts among the 3 mods I was bidding for. The ratio being 110:30:110 because some idiots bidded 1000 pts for 2 of the mods. And after I bidded, I noticed that 1 of my allocated mod disappeared!!! I was cursing out lot in the middle of the night by this pt.
3. After settling with the tot that i can do nothing at 2 in the morning, I went to sleep. only to wake at 730 to prepare for sch. (actually, also cuz I was enthu about my lappy n wanted to try it out.) Went for some module talk for USP which was essentially a little waste of time but definitely better than the module talk by engine fac. Went for a d&d meeting and then went home to find out that I lost my bid for 1 of the mods! I refrained myself from shouting out curses but I did cursed.. I was so sad la.... No more 4 day week n I have to get to tough topics le... sianz.... life....

Shitty PostsHaha.. I know I have been producing rather shitty posts lately. Somehow they lack substance. I suppose after 2 yrs of idling in the Army, I have grown so used to writing crazy-thoughts kinda posts that I have some problems churning out a proper event-base kinda post.
On top of that, life is a cycle of activities over the past few weeks plus desperate need to understand the modular system in NUS. Argh!! The only thing that I am very clear now is that for USP students, don't have to worry about GEMs la, breathes la or SS. OMG! I wonder how life will be if I have to worry about them.
Probably due to the recent stress, I have been embarking on free-publicity campaign for almost every possible item i can lay my hands on. I have thus been a jelly bean sales person, a promoter for SEP to China and also for o-week. I did not believe half the things I promote la.

Hmm.. A comment by a fren, "Why are you in NUS like everyday?" haha.. I am making prep for it to become my second home? I just saw a yr 2 Chem eng senior's schedule and OMG!!! Sch hours is from 8 to 5 everyday!!
Anywayz, was in NUS ytd for some module talk which turned out to be a boring + almost-none-module talk. The OG then decided to go to Holland V to try the XO Fish Bee Hoon. Not bad la.. haha..
