It takes fate to bring ppl together and build relationships. However, it is the qualities of the ppl which maintains it. Qualities like initiative, tact, honesty etc.

Well.. I'm currently into this new fad call gashapon. It's basically our childhood tikam tikam tt's in a better quality and of course more ex.. oh well.. maybe it's not tt much of an interest to me as I have looked ard for quite some time and still have not bought any for myself. cuz I feel tt it is a waste of money to buy these to put at home when I will most probably grow out of it in future.. Anyway, gashapon as the name suggests, is from jap and I have been looking at anime ones but dun find it nice cuz they are kinda uglier than what u see in the comics.. actually the way i see it, only Gundam Seed & Gundam Seed Destiny character gashapon are the most accurate and nicest ones.. The rest basically suck if u look closely.
Anyway, I dunno how.. Marvel & DC seems to crash into the pic too. There are some Batman ones (Nice! cuz it is modelled to be rather dark like the dark knight), Marvel (as below, i tink this is the nicest among 3 marvel gashapon) and Aliens/Predator (Yes, Cedric, I find them nice too).
The bad thing abt gashapon is that they are separate sets and ppl in Singapore only sells them in sets or individual if tikam tikam (only sometimes, individual and can choose). Thus for the same series, they can have a few sets have the same 2/3 characters but the remaining 2/3 different ones.. I think it is stupid. haha..

Ha.. I'm blogging at work now.. Haha.. Cuz I got my hands on the laptop tt's connected to the internet. Cool.. I can surf the net from my table, which is like so far fr the router.
Anyway, I went out with Qian Hui, Sherman, Qin Yi, Ryan, Timo, Siew Yun, Jia Ming and Sharon for Sherman's belated birthday ytd evening. And @#$%@#$%@ 4 couples!!!! I'm the only single there, no thanks to Jun Hong (who's studying for his common test) and Vincent (who's posted to Thailand) for not attending..... Anyway, it wasn't as bad as before.. Maybe I'm getting used to it le.....
The funny thing abt ytd, we met Sharon's gal-fren on our way to eat in Bugis Junction. Tt gal was working in one of theose small small shops.. Ha.. It so happens tt the gal is single and stays in Bt Panjang and her b-day is a day be4 mine. Then for the whole nite, I was tormented with "hey, want to intro?" blah blah blah... $#$#%$^$^%$#
Anyway, Sharon commented tt she's not my type and I'm not hers cuz the way sharon sees it, I prefer emotionally independent gals and tt gal is defintely one who demands a high standard of emotional attachment from her bf. In addition, tt gal wants her future bf to propose in the most romantic way be4 she goes steady with him.
In truth, Sharon is correct in both ways bahz... haha.. I do prefer older ladies (my age or older) to younger "xiao mei mei" cuz they are more mature and my opinion is tt they may be more emotinally independent (although not always the case).
Also, I'm definitely not those who would propose in the most romantic way. Ha..

Juz finished reading the Sunday Times and 4 articles caught my interest:
1. Guys Carrying Handbags For Their Girlfriends
I feel that it is a perfectly fine thing to do. I would offer to do so for my gf if there is one. Wonder why there is a social discrimination against guys who do so? Is it sissy to do so? I dun think so. I think it's gentlemenly. Ha..
2. Marriages & Divorce Cases
Ha.. I can't help but to notice that the govt is probably using the Straits Times as mean to lower the number to divorce cases in Sg. It was in line with the article abt a pair of very old couples that was featured on the main pg of ytd's Straits Times. It is also in a sense in line with the articles abt Match-making agencies over the past few days.
Well.. My take, Nobody wants to get married juz to be divorced later.
3. Article On Jimmy Boh, An Ex-Convict Who's In SMU Now
Kudos to the man for making it to the Dean's List. Cheers to his effort and courage to turn over a new leaf, progress. However, I think that he is juz a small minority of ex-convicts who have the time and opportunity to be accepted by the society thus so. Juz like, not all handicapped ppl can continue to survive on in their everyday lives like some do. Well.. I guess this is wat role-models are for. As a source of inspiration to all.
4. Lack Of Attention Paid To Cleaners
I kept wanting to post an article abt cleaners in my blog but kept pushing it off. So I guess I'm not payingmuch attention to them either....... Sigh...
Anyway, I think that this is the article which hit me much harder than the others. I totally agree with the writer that we are treating cleaners as though they are invisible (Sad to say, I missed the prog hosted by Diana Ser. Is it still on?? Anyone knows?). Sad to say, I, too commit such an act but I would return a smile when I am greeted by them.
For their work in helping us to dispose of our dirty rubbish and keeping our estate clean of dog poo etc., I feel that the least we can do is to give them the acknowlegdement that we appreciate them. Although it is true that it is part of their job and they are paid for it, how many of us would take up the job for that kinda pay? On top of this, evey single passer-by u see, treats u like dirt and doesn't even bother to look at u. i think I'll feel like shit every single day on this kinda job.
The same goes for other jobs that provide services like bus drivers, waiters, cashiers etc.
In line with this, sth nice made my day last Wed, I have made it a pt to at the very least smile at the drivers of 177 (the bus to my workplace). Well.. On wed, I was gg home fr gym at ard 1830 and I boarded 177 (It was the 1st bus that came). The uncle greeted me and commented on why I was only gg home at that time. the conversation wasn't much but the feeling that there are still ppl (outside my social circle offrenz) who know n remember my puny existence in this world is good.

As I was commenting to Joel ytd, the Army, by itself, is a "safe-to-fail" (Not, safe-to-do-wrong) environment. "Safe-to-fail environment" (as my boss terms it) is one whereby we commit mistakes or blunders and the price we pay is small compared to tt we have to pay in the real world. The Army is one such environment. If we were to commit a major blunder while we were serving our NS, we would be scolded, punished to do extras or maybe condemned. As a result of this, we may lose pride, we may lose happiness but we are still "on the job" (Not tt we want it).
However, if we were to be in the same situation but in the real working world, we may jolly-well be fired for any single we make. As a result, we lose pride, happiness (I just talking abt normal emotion here), our "rice-bowl" and in the worst case, we may just lose everything....
On this note, my boss makes the constant effort to construct an almost complete "safe-to-fail" environment for me. He chooses not to punish me or even F*** me for the times I make mistakes as he could see that my mistakes were not a sign of rebelion nor a lack of effort but simply because of my carelessness.

I was having dinner when I overheard the dialogue of a chinese "gu zhuang" show. The wife was telling the husband that she'll stand by him in whatever choice he makes. An old friend was treasuring their friendship.. Blah blah blah...
I feel that all these values of trust, commitment, promises, loyalty are lost in this world/time we are living in. Can you even trust the lady/guy who swore to you that she/he will go through thick and thin with you? Why are there still ladies keeping private accounts unknown to their husbands? Why are there husbands who take their CPF and look for other ladies to f***? Why are there wives who plans to leave their husbands when they cannot work due to some accidents or whatever? Where are the trust, the commitment, the reason for marriage which sums up to our values?
Enough abt marriages.. Friendships then.. Can they last? Are you still talking to your friends in primary Sch, Sec Sch or even JC? Can you expect your buddy to help you when you need help and have nobody to turn to? Can you expect your buddy to stand up for you when everyone around is saying tt you are an a**hole?
Trust, Loyalty, Commitment, Promises etc. These are the values I hope for yet I must admit, I'm afraid of them at the same time, afraid of embracing them and believing. What I believe thus much and they let me down? Or what if I should one day let them down instead? I am only human afterall..

Ha.. Caught this show today.. Nice! I not an Angelina Jolie fan but boy is she hot in the show!
Anyway, watch the movie and you will notice that it is practically a variety of MANY comercials & endorsements. This is the list:
1. Tissot (the watch. There was practically a 5 sec screening on it + not to mention the actor's/actress's "supposedly" casual flaunting of the watch)
2. Mercedez benz (the merc is nice but weak)
3. BMW (cool design but slowww)
4. 1 more brand of car (cldn't catch the brand but in tt show, it is even better than Mercedez and BMW. It can outlast Merc and outrun BMW)
5. Oakley (it's so damn obvious tt they are advertising tt BIG "O")
6. A supermarket in US + 1 shop tt sells/rents cars (There was even a line to promote tt store)
7. Laptop/computer part? (I tink there was 1 part on it but I cldn't catch the brand)

Hmm... Went to PS to meet Xin Ru, Hui Yin & Wei Li for dinner and played pool at Paradiz Centre. I got off work at 1730 and rushed home to change. I rushed out of the house by 1810. On my way to the bus-stop, I started getting this really nice feeling that everything seems to be beautiful. Ha.. it's like the roads, the buildings, the trees and everything juzt seems to fill me with a nice feeling...
Well.. The good feel lasted till today and it is still on.. Wonder y too.. haha... Even those old n worn down places brighten me up... haha..

Haha... Dunno why but Kay Eng seems to hit me with many food-for-thought everytime we walk to the bus stop from the gym.. Maybe cuz the walk is a rather long and easy one... Anyway, today he asked, "Have u ever tot abt when u r gg to start ur family? As in, after u get married and stuffs.. N how many children do u plan to have?"
Haha.. My answer to the 1st is "No" cuz I dun even know when I'm gg to have a girlfriend, let alone marriage and family... I plan to take the easiest route and let fate decide... haha... When I do start a family, I tink I'll hope for 0, 1 or 2 kids at most.... Haha.. I enjoy playing with kids but living with them is another (as what Mr. Lim used to say). Plus! "There are 2 types of guys in this world - those who love kids and those who love animals" -- A Hong Kong Drama serial I watched when I was younger.. Haha.. I belong to the latter, I believe.....
And Kay Eng, he hopes to start a family before 30. In addition, he hopes to have as many kids as possible... Haha... According to him, if it can go up to 6 or 7 and he can sustain them financially, and his wife supports, he will want it to be so. Oh... Wat a family man...... :)He's still single, by the way... So if u gals want, I can give u his hp no.... haha...
But Seriously, picture this, a guy like me, with a wife and a family, slogging at work... Are you sure tt guy is me???? Haha... I still can't picture myself being at that stage... haha.. Guess I'm still immature in this sense??? haha...

Well... Couples can be so stupid at times.... Q is my fren and V is his gf.
Mon is V's b-day. Thus Q wanted to organise a surprise b-day party for her at his hse tmr (sunday). This was planned last week and Q even sent out smses to invite V's fren as well as Q's closer frenz (tt includes me). It is a troubled week for V and Q hopes to brighten up her day by throing tt party. Ok.. the idea is good but the 1st stupid thing was tt Q told V abt the party (so much for surprise) and V didn't want it. Thus Q cancelled the party. Ok... Fine... No harm done even though we have bought the present..
The next stupid thing: V called me last nite and told me tt both Q and herself planned to go out on Sunday in celebration of her b-day. However, she wants to surprise Q by asking us along as she felt bad tt she asked for to cancel the party... Ok... So the new plan is to juz meet up for dinner without Q knowing.... I was thinking to myself, "this sound super stupid but ok.. the intent is good afterall....." So I was tasked to ask Q's closer grp of frenz.... and I did...
The 3rd piece of bullshit: V smsed me again today and said tt Q wants to go to Sentosa.... So cancel the plan... again???? At this pt, I was getting kinda pissed le.... Then I called back and V said, " maybe they'll go in the morning and meet us for dinner in the evening". Now we are stuck at this pt... personally, i feel tt Q is also planning sth for V.... Which makes things all the more lame.... crap
I seriously think tt all this surprise here, surprise there is crap..... So bo liao....

0800-1730 (9.5 hrs) at work + my own leisure (2 hrs +/-) at home!!! I shall cut down!!!
I shall stare into blank space for 2 mins for every 20 mins tt I look at the pc and I shall only spend 30 mins to 1 hr on pc during my leisure....
