Values - Trust, Commitment, Loyalty, Honour.....................

I was having dinner when I overheard the dialogue of a chinese "gu zhuang" show. The wife was telling the husband that she'll stand by him in whatever choice he makes. An old friend was treasuring their friendship.. Blah blah blah...

I feel that all these values of trust, commitment, promises, loyalty are lost in this world/time we are living in. Can you even trust the lady/guy who swore to you that she/he will go through thick and thin with you? Why are there still ladies keeping private accounts unknown to their husbands? Why are there husbands who take their CPF and look for other ladies to f***? Why are there wives who plans to leave their husbands when they cannot work due to some accidents or whatever? Where are the trust, the commitment, the reason for marriage which sums up to our values?

Enough abt marriages.. Friendships then.. Can they last? Are you still talking to your friends in primary Sch, Sec Sch or even JC? Can you expect your buddy to help you when you need help and have nobody to turn to? Can you expect your buddy to stand up for you when everyone around is saying tt you are an a**hole?

Trust, Loyalty, Commitment, Promises etc. These are the values I hope for yet I must admit, I'm afraid of them at the same time, afraid of embracing them and believing. What I believe thus much and they let me down? Or what if I should one day let them down instead? I am only human afterall..
