"Lolitas" vs Forced ProstitutesI find it a total irony that some teenage gals are being forced into prostitution in Batam while other teenage gals willingly lose their virginity for money in Singapore. Fancy sleeping around just for the sake of purchasing some branded goods. Wat's even more amazing? Getting the bf to be the pimp. Something is wrong with the stupid bf too.
Something is terribly wrong with our value system. Not just the gals, guys in Singapore are screwed up too. Going to Batam to have sex with underage gals - for the whole time, knowing that those gals were being forced into prostitution. It is not just 1 or 2, bloody hell.. Singaporean men make up 70% - 80% of the "sex clients". Wat's even more sickening is that they still continue despite knowing the conditions of the gals over there.
Sickening.............
On a lighter note, I read this from the
"Calvin & Hobbes" comic strip: "I AM YET ANOTHER RESOURCE CONSUMING KID IN AN OVERPOPULATED PLANET, RAISED TO AN ALARMING EXTENTBY MADISON AVENUE AND HOLLYWOOD, POISED WITH MY CYNICAL AND ALIENATED PEERS TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD WHEN YOU'RE OLD AND WEAK." - Calvin

Looking at: HP & Watch - Part 2Lol.. Met Weili and thanks to him, I have changed my target to a DKNY timepiece tt is similar to Nike Oregon Square Digital Leather but better looking.
I shall take a longer look around at watches before I make the purchase (in view of the Christmas Sale, I'll buy it soon).
on a side note, I think Oakley watches are damn nice and unique but the prices are sooo high.. 1000 bucks for the model I like. OMG!
Anyway, with regards to HP, I think I'll just buy a cheapo nokia hp.. cuz 6060 is selling at ard 300... sigh... major devastation................
hmm... I'm truly an undeserving fool. I seek something distant yet I choose to ignore what is right there before me. oh fool...
Have you ever noticed how some ppl especially those closest to u, seem to provide their opinions on your choices when it is obviously very very personal? And since they are so close, you can't just tell them off, "I know what I'm doing. I'll ask you if I need your opinion on this issue." because they are close to you.

Looking at: HP & WatchWent window shopping today. i have decided that I shall buy a Nike watch in the near future... The model would either be Nike Oregon Square Digital Leather or one of the D Line series. Which is better? Here's the link if you r interested:
Nike Timing
Nike Oregon Square Digital Leather
Nike D Line TI
Nike D Line Big Al AnalogI have also decided that in view of the impending death of my HP, I'll either go for Nokia 6060 (if it is cheap on launch) or the old Nokia phone which every NS men seem to be using (if 6060 is ex and not up to expectations)
Nokia 6060
After 2 separate days of "foundation hunting" with my mother, I have came to the conclusion that the cosmetic department is where you can find salesgirls with almost perfect make-up and complexion. Observation Number 2 is that SK 2 seems to have some kinda quality control when it comes to picking their salesgirl. in the whole department, only SK 2 seemed to have prettiest salesgirls. At least this is the case for the cosmetic department in CK Tangs.
in case you r wondering why I was with my mom the whole time, it was because even after I finished looking around in the men's department, my mom was still there... urgh!! It was horrible!
*Made an interesting revelation while typing this post. thanks to Ai Tian. I only got to know from her that the "insert image" function here is working now. I was using hello to upload pics all the while. lol.. this shows how low tech i am....
*off to stop the Weapons and Sephiroth from destroying the Planet! With the company of Tifa & yuffie!!
*btw, I am NOT hinting anything!! lol.. just like to post pics of stuffs tt I'm interested in...

Another Racist Blogger??
If you have seen today's Straits times, you probably know about the latest case of racist blogger.
Well.. If you read his story, you probably can sympathise with how he feels. It was something abotu a Muslim couple who refused to let his family board a cab when his brother was in an urgent need to be ruch to the hospital. That resulted in death if I'm not wrong.
Sympathising does not equate to agreement. There are black sheeps everywhere. It just so happened that that particular couple were the black sheeps. And it just so happens that they were Muslims. They could jolly-well be another Chinese couple.
My pt is that it is stupid to be racist.
Anyway, I think my HP is dying..... if you call me or vice versa and u can't hear me, it is probably cuz my hp got problem....

7 Months to ORD
Sigh... 7 months to ORD. The day seems so near, yet so far. I yearn for the day whereby I step foot into MINDEF, knowing that it is probably the last time I see it. Sigh............................
Anyway, came across this while I was surfing the webby for Harry Potter & Goblet of Fire. find it a bit funny considering the Brad Pitt part....
Fourteen year old EMMA WATSON (Hermione Granger) reprises her superb portrayal of the bookish, but kind hearted Hermione Granger.
Playing Hermione in the first film saw Emma's debut into the world of professional acting, although her natural ability has been evident since an early age with highly praised performances in several school productions.
Her brilliant performance in the role of Hermione has won Emma a huge following throughout the world and the highly prestigious AOL award for Best Supporting Actress for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
Emma continues to balance her love of filming with her studies and school activities and is a keen hockey, netball, tennis and rounders player as well as a budding athlete. She is also an art scholar and boasts the most colorful and creative dressing room at the studio!
Her other hobbies include: Brad Pitt; socializing with her friends; Brad Pitt; music with favorites including Alanis Morrisette and Justin Timberlake; Brad Pitt; modern dance, ballet and tap..and Brad Pitt!
Hmm.. Sometimes I just feel that I am an undeserving fool....

Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince
Just finished the book. 1 word says it all: Nice!
Though I received many spoilers since the day I got the book from Weili (Thank you, Weili, for the major spoiler the moment u handed me the book! lol). They didn't matter. It is what happened exactly and the process that made the whole story great.

Bad Kid vs Whiz Kid?
This was supposed to be posted on Sunday morning but I dunno if it'll come out cuz blogspot seems to be a bit screwed up... Anyway, added in some random thots as the day went on..
0900 hrs: In today's Straits Times, there are 2 separate articles about bad kids and whiz kids.
The one on bad kids was about girls under 16 yrs old, offering sex for money. The purpose varies from payment of debt for bf to purchasing fashion accessories.
The one on whiz kids was about a 15 year old girl studying bio-science in NTU (or was it NUS?).
Although they are 2 separate articles, what bothered me was their layout on the front page. Bad kids and whiz kids one on top of the other. To me, it sort of implies that whiz kids are good as opposed to bad kids. U must be smart to be good? maybe i'm just overly sensitive.
On a lighter note, there was an article about gals not wanting to wear spectacles cuz they wanna look attractive. I think some gals look very attractive with their specs on, with the correct specs of course.
*off to for tuition and thereafter, return to read Harry Potter!
2000 hrs: Anyway, kinda sux. Many things are fated. Some people may be so good a person yet others do not appreciate them. Sometimes, the timing just isn't right. So what can we do abt it? Just shrug it off and live another day? Or persevere?
*1/2 way thru Harry Potter. Now to save the Planet with Yuffie and Tifa. To the impending death of Aeris.... :(
2200 hrs: Now, back to a more serious note, I think I probably suck big time. After a conversation with a fren of mine, I remembered the times when I had to go thru alone. I did not have the frenz whom ppl always say would be there for u. Maybe cuz I just dun feel them or maybe I'm just too proud to ask for time to talk or maybe I just suck.... is it just me?

Listen
Have u ever wondered why some ppl just like to talk abt themselves so much? When given the slightest opportunity, they'll talk abt their life blah blah blah. They won't stop to listen to ur views or to ask abt u.
I find it rather amazing that they have so much to talk abt and that they are not tired. Though I must admit tt there are times whereby I act the same way as they do.
Anyway, with regards to Runaway's comment on my replies being crude, we spoke on MSN and he said sth like, "how can say to gals lack boobs one?"
If any of u gals out there feel offended in any way, I'm terribly sorry. I couldn't really think of the correct word when i wrote the reply. But tt's no excuse.. paiseh..

Random Thots: Religion, Reaction To Disaster..
I was talking to Chin Hong on the bus this morning. He was telling me abt attending a talk that was conducted by a Buddhist Monk. Let's not go into what the talk was focused on cuz Chin Hong was obviously more fascinated by the relationship (built up by the speaker) between science and the religion, and some of the crap (a bit true) the monk said. One example is the relationship between marriage and relationship is like that between bacon and egg. One is committed (pigs are "committed" to give us bacon" while the other is evolved (i forgot abt the evolve part but it has gotta do with chicken too).
Anyway, "stealing" some ideas from Chin Hong, I have conceptualised my views abt religion. Religion is like a form of transportation (eg bus, train...) to the destination (let's not spell it out blatantly). Let the destination here be Bt Panjang Plaza. If I wanna go there from where I am now (home), I can jolly well cycle there or take 920 straight across or I can take the LRT and walk a bit. Alternatively, I can make a trip to Orchard rd, loiter a bit and take 700 to the plaza. Last but not the least, I can always walk there myself. Religion is like transport in the sense that it is man-made and it is supposedly there to make it easier for you to reach/accept the destination/end-result. U can do without it but it would be good to have it to hold on to when in face of obstacles. It helps in a certain sense. Just like I would usually walk to Bt Pajang Plaza but I would take 920 if there is a heavy storm. Religion is there to help u brave stormy weathers no matter how u see it. Even when u think tt u are giving, u r actually on the receiving end. Think abt it.
The next pt is derived from today's Straits Times. There were a few articles abt Singaporeans' youth reaction to the recent earthquake. Well.. This may sound selfish. It is true that we are nonchalant abt the disaster despite ppl dying and parents trying desperately to find their children but what good are we doing if we go around with a moody attitude? It would be good that we try to help in every possible ways, at the very least, donating to the aid effort. However, as much as we want to, there are so much that we cannot do. Not everybody (even if they all volunteered) can go over to help, be it due to work, family or school or cuz Singapore is only sending this many teams to Pakistan or cuz of the very reason that we need Singaporeans here to live their life and ensure that Singapore is still in the processes. Surely, one cannot expect us to mourn everyday of our life for the period when the ppl in Pakistan are fighting for their lives.
Lastly, am I getting more crude??? Oh No!!
Oh.. Just found the 2 songs tt have been in my head for a long time to come. By Xiong Tian Ping & Valen Hsu. Ni De Yan Jing and Ai Qing Dian Ying. haha.. I forgot the names of the song and singers. Luckily, heard it over the radio today and asked Joel abt it. Thanks!

Dota Outing.
Went for a DOTA outing today. Consisted of ppl from a certain forum I subscribed to. Well.. I found it kinda bo liao cuz the guys went there, played and spent like forever talking about what happened during the game blah blah blah.. Considering the fact tt I ain't tt serious about dota, I didn't know why I went there. haha.. Probably just to see see look look.
Anyway, made my way to my favourite CD shop in Chinatown after I bidded goodbye to them at ard 1600 hrs. Bought 2 CDs - Olivia Ong's "A Girl Meets Bossa Nova" and Sun Yan Zi's "A Perfect Day".
On my way home, I saw a near-miss at the traffic junction at Bt Panjang Plaza. There was this kid who was cycling to the traffic light. At that pt in time, the traffic light turned to "red man" for a good 20 Secs at least. And the light was turning to green for the vehicles to pass. And the stupid kid just happily cycled onto the road, wanting to cross. He was so damn lucky tt despite all the motorcycles there, they did saw him and did not speed up. No bloody brains to think and no bloody eyes to see!! The govt should place more emphasis on traffic education and probably implement licence for kids who ride bicycles or even skateboard!!!
*Off to find Sephiroth, with Tifa & Aeris in FF7.... Sigh.. still at Disc one...

Olivia Ong: Girl Meets Bossa Nova
Just wanna do a little bit of sharing on this new singer.
She's a 19 yr-old Singaporean. I only saw her album (or was it singles?) last Saturday in tower Records. Caught a song or 2 from the CD. One of which is a Japanese song "Fly Me to the Moon". I find it rather different from previous versions. Quite nice. I'm very tempted to go back and purchase it!! Mainly cuz I can't find her songs anywhere on the net.
Anyway, this is wat I found abotu Olivia Ong.
Olivia Ong, 19, released her debut album to rave reviews across Japan this week.
"Girl meets Bossa Nova" is the title of Olivia's debut album which was launched after one-and-a-half years of hard work.
The talented singer was spotted by a Japanese record company at a singing competition in Singapore when she was 15.
After completing her secondary school, she packed her bags for Japan where she spent one year at a high school in Tokyo before taking the plunge into a full-time singing career.
Olivia said: "Things don't come easy, you have to work at it and it requires discipline but so far, I feel very fortunate because I have this opportunity and I dare say I'm the only one at 19 years old to be here."
Her singing at the Singapore booth at this year's World Exposition in Aichi, Japan, captured the hearts of those present.
Her record label said with her vocal capabilities and Singapore girl charm, breaking into the Japanese market should not be much of a problem.
They estimate that 5,000 pieces of her album would be sold within two months.
Olivia added: "The goal I have right now is to come up with my major debut album here and then slowly move back to Singapore. Have fun, do performances and all that stuff. Slowly I hope to have my own band. I really, really hope to work together with a band."
Her album will be released in Singapore only in June this year. - CNA

Xing1 Dong Bu Ru Xing3 Dong
wah.. Seriously, I saw a real-life example of this... 1 day after the decision was made, we rushed down to Borneo Motors in Ubi at 1930 to buy Toyota Altis. This was because price was going to rise by a thousand after tt day. Wow.. At 2000, the place was still damn crowded.
Anyway, Altis is so big (although nth compared to BMW or Merc). U can get at least 6 ppl into the car with no problem and then add another one or 2 into the boots...
We need to wait for 3 mths to see if we get the COE..
Oh.. Have u guys seen the 8-days? Bikini Shots of Joanne Peh! OMG!! Not just 1, not just 2 but over 10!! LOL.. I think I'm beginning to bring my crappy cum horny side into my blog. (Somehow, I never did like the word "cum" cuz I always think about the pun) Anyway, I think 8-Days is stepping into the domain of FHM & Maxim (excluding those lame "oh. I like guys with bla bla bla" quotes). With the bikini shots of so many celebrities since I started reading it this year (Courtesy of my colleague).
Just wrote a testimonial for a friend on friendster. I think i'm getting older and more naggy... Wat used to be a problem of filling up the whole testimonial box, can now be done in a blink of the eye. And it still left me with more to write. argh!! lao le...
k.. enough crap.. Off to fight Shinra with Tifa and Aeris in FF7......

New Car??
My family is planning on getting a new car cuz of the recent drop in COE. It is more profitable, they say. I'm kinda against the idea. I mean, of course, having a car is without a doubt more convenient but with my father's income, there will only be a constant outflow of money every month cuz of maintenance of the car, petrol etc.
I only got to know abt it today. From wat I can gather, the decision had already been made. The model been chosen, the colour been voted... sux. And I only got to know now. I guess my opinion just doesn't matter.
Anyway, I voiced out my opinion and I pray tt the day'll not come whereby I have to say, "I disagreed but you went ahead" and I probably wouldn't.
Gone were the days whereby you can just forget abt unhappy stuffs after a game or 2.
By the way, have anybody got the album: "Girls Meets Bossa Nova" by a Singapore Artist called Oliva??

Quote of the Day
Went out with Charles, Shiang Shean & Cedric. We went for lunch at Carl Jr and loitered around Marina Square & Suntec. After tt, we went for dinner at Cafe Cartel.
Shiang Shean was talking abt one guy whom he felt was masturbating in the gents at City Hall (before we met). The reasons being: the guy was standing too close to the urinal and "people do not pee for so long". According to SS, he pee-ed, zipped up and washed his hands but the guy was still there leaning close to the urinal. Anyway, I felt tt the quote by SS has some kinda quote-of-the-day effect and we started vid-tapping one another saying the quote (using Cedric's hp). Lame...
Anyway, after tt, SS & I went to Cedric's hse to get some stuffs.

Happy Birthday!
I went to Holland Village after work today to get Haagen Dazs Green Tea ice-cream for my mom's birthday. Took me about an hour and a half for the whole trip. Amazingly short, I must say.
Anyway, I must really commend the Haagen Dazs branch in Holland Village. I find their service rather good. Firstly, after taking my orders, the waiter politely asked me to take a seat at one of their tables. From my memory, I went to the other branch in Esplanade, also to take away some ice cream. I was left standing there waiting for the waitress to slowly scoop up the ice cream. It was stupid of me not to take a seat then, I know. However, the waiter in the HV branch is friendly and has the initiative.
Second, not long after I took the seat, another waitress came by to serve me plain water. This was done despite the fact that I was only there for take-away.
Third, the supervisor and staffs showed great initiative too. This is because there was initially only 1 waiter manning the couter for take-away orders. After I placed my order, a few customers also came in for take-away orders. Although it was some time before they took the initiative, the supervisor and a few staffs also went to help out. Yes, it is part of their job but they could jolly-well slack away too.
Just my PoV.
Anyway, I finally got hold of Gundam Seed Destiny!!!! Courtesy of Chin Hong!!!! So happy!!

FF7: Advent Children & Dream Gals at this Point in Time
Firstly, don't read if u dun wanna be reading crap cuz I'm in a crappy mood.
Just watched Advent Children. OMG!!! Damn nice!! The fight scenes are just soooo cool. Definitely worth every trouble of getting it.
On the the 2nd pt, the 2 dream gals: Tiffa from FF7 & Rinoa from FF8!! LOLZ!!
If I can find someone who look and have character like either of them.. OMG! Heaven!! (Although Tiffa seems to be a bit improportional as her boops are quite big... I mean it! watch the movie and u'll see) Lol.. I suppose this is part of the aim of such games: to prey of superficial guys like me. Anyway, as I said, this entry entails crap.. It is impossible to find gals like them anyway.. They are just fantasies... Well.. It's a guy's right to dream, right? Anyway, below are their photos (without those boops):

Tiffa, FF7

Rinoa, FF8
Anyway, I just realised sth. Drinking Beet-root (Correct spelling?) juice will cause your human waste to be reddish brown. Thus when interact with water in the toilet bowl, they look like your have got bleeding in your intestines or sth...

Character Of A Girl By Her Looks?
I was surfing through some forums today and came across this topic. The gist is that most (95.??%) pretty gals in Singapore does not have good character. In most cases, they are just way too materialistic.
There was an argument that guys just didn't bother to understand pretty girls. They are only concerned what is underneath the clothes the pretty girls were wearing. Thus they did not seek to understand the ladies. lol... I must stress that this is NOT always the case.
There was also another argument that pretty ladies are spoilt with choices as men are just hungry for pretty gals. Thus they become materialistic.
My PoV is that it is unjust to say that pretty = bad character. Generally, guys pay more attention to girls who are pretty. Who wouldn't? U do take another look at a nice dress or car while shopping, right? Therefore, they are more inclined to observe and scrutinise the behaviour of ladies who are considered pretty. However, the same phenomenon of being materialistic also applies to ladies who are considered as being none too pretty. In short, Singaporean gals are materialistic.
On the other hand, it is again unjust to simply say that Singaporean girls are materialistic cuz the men are superficial to begin with.
So conclusion: Singaporeans are materialistic and superficial.
Which brings us to the question about trust...
Can u trust ur all-so-superficial/materialistic spouse/partner to stand by u through thick & thin?
Shall stop here and watch Advent Children. A big thank you to Jackson for taking the trouble to burn for me!

A Little Bit Pissed....
First of all, Blizzard juz came up with a new patch for warcraft 3 a week after introducing patch 1.19. Thus I have to uninstall my whole warcraft game and re-install be4 I can patch as I'm using a *ahem* version.
Second, I unstalled all the games of my pc (warcraft 3 and painkiller) and wanted to install Final Fantasy 8 to play. Not tt my pc has little space but i dun like to have too many games at 1 time. Anyway, I found out tt my cd is spoilt.. I cannot install the game... a little more pissed..
Third, I wanted to blog abt this and some other stuffs this morning but stupid blogger has sth wrong and the create post text is a little bit screwed up.
4th, I wanted to update my virus scan definition but the stupid webby have some faults tt doesn't allow me to download.
Now, the blogger is still screwed up but I decided to make do with it...
lol.. so many complaints...
Anyway, I caught up with Guan Yik, Lionel, Qin Yin & Pei Fen this afternoon for a drink at Pacific Coffee in Raffles Place. I got there later than them cuz I had tuition. It was a get-together be4 Mr. Guan Yik enlist to BMT on 7 Oct (Fri). The first thing Qin Yi saidto me when she saw me was, " Are U ok?" lol.. I suppose I looked a little sick ba + panda-eyes some more... Shld have wore my sunglasses of sth...
Only met for abt 1 - 2 hrs.. Took the train home with Qin Yi after walking around City Link a little. Talked about many things, mostly relationship things. Lol.. She assured me tt I'll "get hitched" when I go into Uni, and even volunteered to be on the look-out for possible targets.. lol..
Realised many things abt myself as we spoke but shall not talk too much abt them. I dun wanna mislead anyone...

Simple Gesture?
Have not been blogging for a few days le. Basically, cuz I'm hanging on the border-line of being sick and healthy. A bit feverish yet not very very sick.
Anyway, in my previous entry I was talking abt joining my boss and some other WOs for dinner. I left out sth. While we were having dinner at the restaurant, there was a family celebrating their daughter's birthday. The father got the restaurant to play a birthday song. At that time, quite a few of the tables were occupied. However, none of them did anything but only continue with their own business - dinner. But my boss started clapping to the beat of the song and of course, the other WOs followed suit. After that, the father got the waitress to give us a piece of the cake each. I feel tt both parties were touched by the other, in a sense.
Today, I went with my family for dinner at a restaurant. Coincidentally, a family was celebrating a birthday as well and they also got the restaurant to play a birthday song. This time, the restaurant is bigger than the one I went with my boss. And it was full-house. Yet, nobody did anything. They just carried on with their dinner as if the music was not playing.
Shall leave it this incomplete cuz I'm very tired now and also as a point to ponder.
